Our Mission Statement:  The Spay Spa is dedicated to decreasing pet overpopulation and euthanasia of unwanted companion animals in shelters by providing affordable, high quality, spay, neuter, and wellness services to animal owners and rescuers in Southeast Louisiana.

Dr. Marianne Fairchild graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.  She practiced at Helouin Veterinary Hospital in Baton Rouge for 6 years before she moved on to practice shelter medicine at East Baton Rouge Animal Control for 13 years.  She has spayed and neutered over 10,000 animals in her career.  She has been an adjunct professor for 10 years, teaching 4th year LSU veterinary students shelter medicine including high quality spay/neuter techniques.  She has been an active member in local animal rescue organizations such as CAAWS, Spay Baton Rouge, and Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge.

Dr. Fairchild opened The Spay Spa in November 2012  to bring you quality pet care at affordable prices.
